The party for those in old frontier land (east of the Mississippi River)

Courtney and Jamie will cross the Wisconsin borders for the first time as a married couple over Thanksgiving weekend. They will bring a western theme to weekend's events. Why a western theme?

As legend goes, while prospecting Jamie found a heart of gold in a girl named Courtney... though that may medically be attributed to the fact she is from Wisconsin and bleeds green and gold every Sunday.

Here are the details for the wedding weekend.

6pm Roundup
Friday night
Say hello, grab a drink, and not necessarily in that order. Beer, wine and soda will be provided to all (if you're a hard-riding cowboy, bring some cash for the cash bar).

A western-style dinner will start at 6:30pm.

Rattlesnake skewers and scorpion kabobs might make it on the menu.

Knights of Columbus
3200 S 103rd St
Milwaukee, WI 53227-4104
(414) 327-5541

Various forms of enterainment will be provided post-meal, including horseshoes, hammerschlagen and possibly some low-stakes poker.

The Knights of Columbus Hall does have a newly-remodeled bowling alley, which will become available to us after 9pm. For those who know Courtney and Jamie, they will play any sport regardless of their skill-level.

Is dressing up in Western wear required?

It is preferred guests have an old west feel to their dress - Courtney and Jamie will - so feel free to be inspired by these pictures below:

And to inspire the ladies:

Saturday night

We have no specific plans yet but will likely determine some activity others are welcome to join. Details may be determined and spread Friday night.
